Stuff has been crazy over the past two weeks loads of news: Ouija Funk has been getting support from: Tim Thaler, Christian Homan (RTÉ Pulse), Steve’Butch’Jones, Far Too Loud, DCUP, Adam K (Kiss FM (UK)), Look at F, SnapCrack, Jason Pepperell and more.

In May I entered the you-play DJ competition in Bournemouth, after months of competition against some really excellent DJ’s the finals were held on the 2nd of September, Here’s what the judges had to say:

IN FIRST PLACE, with an incredibly fluid and versatile DJ set, Ferdee raised the standard and really impressed all of the judges. His overwhelming mastery over his chosen music (breaks, electro and dubstep) and his supreme mixing ability give Sean Ferdee a stand-out appeal. We are sure you will see a lot more of him in the very near future!

Wind Fest

Following that I won the chance to spin at the Red Bull Sound System on Sandbanks Beach for Windfest. It was a brilliant couple of hours, getting to dj on one of the nicest beaches in europe. It was a little bizarre playing face melting EDM to children, I had to be pretty quick on the up fader to cut out the obscene amount of swearing (at least one FUCK did slip out) but at least I didn’t drop Doctor P Tetris. Later that night I returned to the silent disco, the party was off the chain, but the flash flood fucked our DJ tent over blowing the fuse board.

 

On the 16th I will be at the Winchester warming up for Eat Static doing a live set. Playing alongside Magic Lantern, 2Cebeebies and Unconscious Minds.

Great News! My residency at socialology starts on the 19th, we will be bringing something completely new to the Bournemouth club scene. Its going to be full on audio porn.

And last but not least my new drumstep track has been getting a big response from people it features the epic singer Em-Rah and now is signed, so stay tuned for the preview.
